Although every website project is different, I approach each one by using the following steps to success.
Defining Your Needs
The key to developing a successful website is to understand both your needs and your goals. To that end, I’ve developed a fairly straightforward series of questions that will provide me with the information I need to proceed. Only after I get the answers can I create a development plan that makes sense for your website project.
Designing Your Website
As a child, I loved to open a brand new box of sixty-four Crayola crayons. I was fascinated by the colors. As a website designer I still get that same feeling when I begin creating the layout for your website project. But good design goes farther than that. I will organize your content, analyze your goals and incorporate them into the look and feel of your website design.
Development
The code that powers your website really isn’t very sexy. However, what’s going on behind the scenes controls both what your website visitor sees and how your website functions. It’s the nuts-and-bolts of your website. I’ll make certain that I grease all the appropriate fittings and tighten all of the nuts and bolts so that your website functions properly.
Rolling Out Your New Website
Launching your new website is an exciting time. I still get anxious each time a new client website goes live. Rest assured that I’ve thought of almost all potential problems and that I have taken steps to control them. Most deployments go smoothly, but every once in a while there might be a glitch or two. Don’t worry. I’ll do what’s necessary to make the process go smoothly, quickly and according to plan. In other words, I’ll connect all the pieces. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the completed puzzle.
