Following Mike’s instructions, I was able to make a personal 1955 Design smiley in a matter of minutes. Genius, I tell you. The guy’s a genius.

I often visit at Mike Cherim’s Beast-Blog. Mike is a genius withto WordPress, and I always learn something new when Mike writes about tweaking WordPress. Adding Your Own WordPress Smilies explains how to make your own personal smilies / emoticons for use with WordPress. Another Internet Explorer Quirk

Designing websites can be frustrating for many reasons. I love making a new site, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes the frustration is maddening. Just today I was finalizing the text content for a project I am working on. Everything was coming together as planned. The client had provided timely content. The project was nearing completion. Things were looking good.


Jeff Matis for City Council

matis.gifComplete: Rochester, MI city council candidate Jeff Matis asked me to complete a new website for his political campaign.

Once again, WordPress was used as the backend for the site. Using WordPress allows the site Admin to add, edit and delete all of the page content. In fact, he opted to used WordPress as a simple CMS and to not even use the blog feature of the software.
