WordPress as a CMS

by David Zemens · May 11, 2007 · WordPress

Most of my clients want some ability to do updates to their website without the need to pay for ongoing maintenance from me. As a result of their needs, I have researched various content management systems and have settled on WordPress as my CMS of choice. I love WordPress. Do you?

By using WordPress as the backend, my clients now have the ability to update almost all of their text content themselves. In addtion, my clients can add simple photos and images to both their pages and posts through the same Admin panel.

And to top it off, WordPress is free. Yup. Totally free. It is a stable product that is installed on millions of websites around the world. There are many plugins and other end user designed features that add to the out-of-the-box functionality of WordPress. It provides most of my clients exactly what the want in a CMS. How about your clients? What CMS do you offer them? What works for you?
