How to Improve Your Blogs Search Engine Rankings

by David Zemens on May 2, 2007 in Search Engine, WordPress

seo_small.gifDo you want Google to love your blog? Chris Pearson has written a terrific article about optimizing your blog markup for the search engines.

The article emphasis takes on the concept of using H1 tags in the blog header, and thus neglecting to use them in the blog post titles. The advice offered seems to be so obvious that its hard to believe most of the major blog themes fail to use the technique.

I got busy this morning adapting the theme the controls this blog to output markup in the manner Chris suggests. I think it is something you might want to consider if you do blog theme development. I would love to hear what you think about his ideas.
