Wow. That’s pretty much all I can think to say. Wow. The federal government, through its arm called the United States Postal Service, is about to introduce street mail boxes designed and fashioned after the R2D2 character from the Star Wars movie. Wow.

I was unable to find any substantiation of this at any USPS or other government website, but it is being widely reported on the Internet and it seems just stupid enough that it is undoubtedly true. Plus, if you do a Whois search on the domain name of uspsjedimaster.com, which is prominently displayed on the front of the mailboxes in this photo, you will see that the domain name is in fact registered to the US Postal Service. To me that’s a confirming indication that this ridiculousness is about to occur.

Since it’s pretty close to the tax filing deadline date, I guess we all should be thinking about just how much of our hard earned money we paid to Uncle Sam last years. Wow. And this is one of the things they spend our money on. Wow.
